Throughout the years we have seen new models come, but never go. Almost instantly after launch, Porsche motor cars become a favourite with a very wide demographic of people. From the entry level Porsche Boxster Roadster which brought new Porsche cars within reach of many people who had only ever dreamed of owning a Porsche. Despite being affordable, Porsche set the benchmark higher for every other car manufacturer who produced a roadster. The Porsche Boxster soon became known as on of the best handling drivers cars around.
The Porsche Boxster soon evolved from a roadster to a coupe with the advent of the Porsche Cayman. Inheriting the exceptional handling traits of the Porsche Boxster, the Porsche Cayman is recognised as being a great handling car as well as being a practical every day coupe.
Porsche came under criticism when they brought out the Cayenne. The media and fans around the World stopped dead and asked 'What the hell are Porsche doing?'. To which Porsche replied by releasing the Cayenne. Taking most of it's features and 'styling' from the ever popular Porsche 911, the Porsche Cayenne has come under fire for being the ugliest car in the World ever. Then Porsche fitted a beefed up 4.5 Litre V8 engine, bolted on Twin Turbo chargers which firmly put the Porsche Cayenne on a pedestal for being the fastest production SUV in the World. And then came the Turbo S.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of getting over the fear of being seen inside a Porsche Cayenne, knows that stepping across the threshold of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo is one thing, turning the key, selecting drive and putting your foot to the floor is nothing less than breathtaking. 0-62 in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 171mph. In an SUV!!!
Then of course, there is the icon that is the Porsche 911. Since the launch in late 1963 the Porsche 911 has become one of the most loved and cherished cars of our time. The past 44 years and into the future, the Porsche 911 has been and still is a legend. A truly iconic classic car to the modern day variants, continue to be a cherished, desired and very much loved car by many.
