First of all, it's not as simple as you might think. The hurdles that you'll come up against are as follows:
- Your Imported Porsche will be Left Hand Drive.
- Most dealers won't deal with anyone outside of the United States.
- You cannot buy brand new cars out of the United States.
- You have to pay VAT on every imported Car.
- You have to pay 10% import duty on all cars inside of the EU.
- You CAN and WILL save a lot of money importing your Porsche from the US.
In this equasion, we have added VAT but as far as we're concerned you have to pay VAT in the UK on any brand new car, so really it's one of those things that could be left out. We added it to show what you actually can save by buying from the US. Also, registration and roasd tax have been omitted as you'll have to pay it on any car you buy.
